Even if you don't, you still need to get acquainted with the paintings of Russian artist Vyacheslav Alatyrsky. The lion's share of this artist's work is dedicated to house spirits. His works, sweet, kind and mischievous, tell about the life of domestic spirits and their friendship with cats and dogs, as well as complex relationships with people.
Vyacheslav Viktorovich Alatyrsky was born in 1959 in the village of Novikovka in the Ulyanovsk region. After school, he graduated from the Correspondence People's University of Arts named after N. K. Krupskaya, faculty of painting. Since 1988, the artist has been a member of the creative association of artists of Dimitrovgrad "Izograf".
The master's paintings participate in exhibitions and competitions of city, regional and federal scale. In 2010, Alatyrsky was accepted into the Creative Union of Artists of Russia. The artist is very productive and has already created more than 2,000 paintings. Some of his works are kept in the collections of Russian and foreign collectors.
Alatyrsky works in various techniques and paints with oil, pastel and watercolor. His works belong to such genres as portrait, landscape and still life. The master especially loves "everyday" scenes from the life of house spirits. Alatyrsky has dozens of paintings with house spirits. They are painted with love and humor, and their plots are equally understandable to children and adults.
Alatyrsky's impressive series of paintings about the brownie was inspired by a book by Russian writer Evgeny Cheshirko about the adventures of the Brownie and his friend the Cat. Today, these are the artist's most recognizable works, one might say, his calling card.
Cats are in the paintings of many artists, which cannot be said about brownies. Vyacheslav Alatyrsky managed to revive the image of the brownie, endowing it with warmth, kindness and mischief.
