Every day this old dog walks 6 kilometers to say hello to people

Meet this charming dog named Bruno. For the past 12 years, he has been going to the town of Longville, Minnesota every day, traveling 6.5 kilometers just to say hello to the residents.

Bruno loved to travel almost from birth. More than 12 years ago, a man with a tiny puppy in his arms appeared on the doorstep of Larry Lavalle's house. He found a puppy nearby and thought that his owners lived in this house. However, Larry saw the baby for the first time, as well as his neighbors. But as soon as he looked at the dog in the stranger's arms, he immediately decided to leave him.

It soon became clear that Bruno loves to travel and nothing can hold him back. His owner Larry even tried to make him stay at home, tied him up so that the dog wouldn't leave again and God forbid he wouldn't get hit by a car, but Bruno couldn't stand it and almost strangled himself trying to leave. So the dog was left alone and its freedom was no longer restricted.

Bruno's hosts are Debbie and Larry.

Larry and his wife are used to the fact that strangers often call them and say that they have found their dog, because they think that Bruno is lost.

Larry has to explain that he needs to let the dog go, he is quite capable of finding his way home by himself.

Residents of Longville are used to seeing Bruno calmly walking the streets.

The dog usually goes to the city council building, to the library, an ice cream shop, several offices and a grocery store. Moreover, the workers of all these places are waiting for him, greeting him and giving him water and sweets.

In Longville, they love Bruno so much that they even appointed him a city dog and ambassador, and also put up a wooden sculpture in his honor.
