The park was built on 160 acres of a former orange grove in Anaheim, California at a cost of $17 million. It is not surprising that he looked completely different from the way we are used to presenting him today. It is especially interesting to see how happy and at the same time calm the creator himself, clearly enjoying the moment, despite the inevitable excitement and stress.
On July 17, 1955, in Anaheim, south of Los Angeles (California, USA), the outstanding American animator Walt Disney held a magnificent opening ceremony for Disneyland, a grand amusement park for children and their parents.
The idea to create "Disneyland" arose when Walt Disney was walking with his daughters in the park. While the children rode on the carousels, the father sat patiently on the bench and waited for the daughters to work up. During these walks, he came to the conclusion that America really lacks a place where it would be interesting to spend time for both children and adults. Then Disney decided to create such a place himself.
The construction of the first Disneyland took 17 million dollars. However, in a short time, all investments paid off tenfold. Over 200 million people visited the park in the first 25 years alone!
However, this was not enough for Disney, and in 1963 he embarked on an even more ambitious idea - "Project X". He bought a suitable piece of land in Florida, where construction began on a new park.
In October 1971, The Walt Disney World opened, in 1983, its "Disneyland" appeared in Tokyo, and in 1992 - in Paris. On their streets, you can shake hands with Disney cartoon characters Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, ride a train, a horse-drawn carriage or a cable car. And in general, get a lot of positive emotions!
