She devoted 14 years to the work and took 60 of the most amazing pictures of powerful trees around the world. Here are the best ones.
Trees have been inspiring Beth Moon for 20 years. For the Diamond Nights project, she combined astrophotography and portraits of the world's oldest trees, having traveled to Namibia, Botswana, the USA, Italy and other countries.
A photographer from New York, Beth Moon, traveled around the world to capture the oldest trees in all corners of our planet. Sixty photographs from this series are included in a book called "Ancient Trees: Portraits of Time". In her other photo project — "Diamond Nights" — trees also appear, but this time a night shooting was conducted. Moon was inspired by two scientific studies that link the growth of trees with the movement of celestial bodies and astral cycles.
Moon spent a month in South Africa, Namibia and In Botswana, I admired baobabs with antenna-like branches, experimented with lighting and photographed mostly on moonless nights. For another three years, she traveled to other countries.
