Pictolic reached out to Buoy to learn more about their creative process. The artist shared that they have loved drawing random doodles since childhood. "I always bring my little sketchbook everywhere, and filling it up with random doodles was one of my favorite things to do. One day, I realized that they resembled flash designs for tattoos. I thought someone might want to get a tattoo incorporating my doodles. So, I wanted to try!"

Buoy's portfolio showcases a significant number of designs featuring frogs, which seem to have become somewhat of a signature for them. So, we were curious about the significance behind this choice.

"I love all kinds of animals, so I tried a lot of different types. For the frog, I love the mindless facial expression, like they have no idea what is going on. And I think a lot of my followers feel the same way! I get a lot of love for other tattoos as well, of course, but every time I post a frog tattoo, I receive a lot of likes on Instagram. More people want to get the frog tattoo from me, so I post more. That's what has happened so far! And of course, I’m enjoying it."
