The emptiness that reigned in the streets when the next series was released is comparable to the emptiness that covered the Soviet Union during the days of the hockey team matches against the Canadians.
By the time the series was released, its stars were by and large little-known actors. At least for a wide audience. But thanks to the roles in the "Brigade" of Sergei Bezrukov, Dmitry Dyuzhev, Pavel Maykov, Vladimir Vdovichenkov and Ekaterina Guseva, everyone began to learn. Perhaps they could even be called sex symbols. How the actors look now and what they are doing — see below.

Sergey Bezrukov, 43 years old
Bezrukov treats the image of Sasha Bely with sympathy. "All my characters are positive, including Sasha Bely," the actor said in an interview. — What's wrong with him? He preaches the laws of morality in the gangster world. If all the representatives of the younger generation were as strong and brave as he is, and not indifferent asexual creatures, everything would be much better."
Over the past decade and a half, Bezrukov has played Yesenin, Pushkin, and even Christ. But he still failed to outshine Sasha Bely with all his talent. As for his personal life, in 2015, almost immediately after his divorce from his first wife (marriage with Irina lasted about 15 years), Sergey exchanged rings with director Anna Mathison. Now they are raising a daughter. In parallel, Bezrukov directs the Moscow Provincial Theater.
Dmitry Dyuzhev, 38 years old
The role of Cosmos became for Dyuzhev only the sixth work in cinema. And the first — the main one. He continued the gangster theme in Alexey Balabanov's film "Blind Man's Buff", and in the comedy "Strict Regime Holidays" Bezrukov and Dyuzhev laughed at their gangster roles, playing hapless fugitive convicts.
Dyuzhev has a tragic family history. In 1998, his 12-year-old sister Nastya died of leukemia. 4 years later (in the year of the release of the "Brigade"), unable to cope with the loss, the actor's father committed suicide, and a year later Dmitry's mother also died.
For almost 10 years, Dyuzhev has been happily married to Tatiana Zaitseva. The sons Ivan and Dmitry are growing up in the family. A couple of years ago, Dmitry first tried himself as a director by staging the play "Bench".
Pavel Maikov, 41 years old
Just like Dyuzhev, Pavel tried on the main role for the first time in the "Brigade" — before that he worked as a stuntman in the "Siberian Barber" and played an episode in Tigran Keosayan's TV series "Men's Work". And just like other actors of the main cast, the role of the bandit Bee brought Maikov a frenzied popularity. But the further career of the actor turned out to be the least successful of the four. He can mostly be seen in TV series like "Soldiers", "Treason" and "You All infuriate me". Pavel has a 14-year-old son Daniel from the actress Ekaterina Maslovskaya.
Vladimir Vdovichenkov, 45 years old
Vdovichenkov began acting in films while still studying at VGIK, where, by the way, he entered only at the age of 25. At the same time, Vladimir had his first notable role — in the cult Dolphin video "Dealer". In the cinema, before the "Brigade", the actor mostly got only episodic roles. But after the image of Phil created by him, his career went uphill. Recall at least the criminal picture "Boomer".
Vdovichenkov's relations with the opposite sex have always been seething. For the first time he married a classmate at the age of 18, the second marriage happened at the age of 20, the third — at 27. In 2005, Vladimir met a new love — actress Olga Filippova. Nine years after the birth of their daughter, the couple broke up, and a year later the artist married Elena Lyadova. Their relationship began after filming in Leviathan, where they played lovers.
Ekaterina Guseva, 40 years old
Guseva made her film debut in the creepy Russian thriller "Snake Spring", which did not bring her much popularity. But five years later, Ekaterina was waiting for a winning ticket — the role of Sasha Bely's wife in The Brigade. The same 2002 was the year of a huge tragedy for the actress: in the building of the Theater Center on Dubrovka, terrorists took hostage the audience and the troupe of the musical "Nord-Ost", where Guseva played. That evening, Ekaterina's colleagues from another cast were on stage, and the actress spent all three days of the terrorist attack at the walls of the theater. Guseva admitted that it was a terrible blow for her.
It cannot be said that Guseva's film career is rich in memorable films. It is possible to single out only "Yesenin" and "Hunting for raisins". Together with her husband, businessman Vladimir Abashkin, the actress is raising a 19-year-old son, Lesha, and a seven-year-old daughter, Anya.
