Bulgarian artist Hristo Guelov found a way out: he decided to turn the boring and monotonous Madrid pedestrian crossings into real works of urban art.

Hristo's project was named Funnycross (from the English words "funny" — "funny" and "cross" — "to cross"), and its essence is to add some bright colors to the grayness of the urban environment.
Using simple geometric shapes and rich paint colors, Hristo turned ordinary zebras into an object that would be difficult for any motorist not to notice.
