This amazing collection of color portraits shows women of different classes from different regions of imperialist Russia at the beginning of the XX century. The frames were taken by Sergey Prokudin-Gorsky, a pioneer of color photography in Russia, inventor, teacher and chemist (Mendeleev's student) in 1905-1915.
