Today, the fashion for images in military uniforms and ball gowns has passed. Most of the stars prefer to appear for glossy publications in revealing outfits or on the red carpet of events. But the French portrait painter Kieson is a supporter of traditions. In his portraits, actors and pop performers look as if they were painted for the ceremonial hall of the ancestral castle.
Kieson was already a well-known illustrator when it occurred to him to try his hand at portraiture. The artist decided to rethink the images of modern movie and stage stars, and send them back a hundred, two hundred, or even five hundred years ago.
He did a great job and celebrities appeared before us in an unusual, but very interesting way. Kieson can no longer stop and paints more and more excellent portraits, continuing to amaze us with his skill and flight of imagination.
