And all because the companies of British rowdies periodically violate the order in the resort town in Majorca. Vacationers who behave inappropriately are entitled to a fine of 50,000 pounds (about 4.1 million rubles).Britons who come to Magaluf must sign a contract on good behavior from this year. The authorities of Majorca decided to introduce such a measure because of the constant debauchery of tourists from the UK.
Hooligans will have to pay 50,000 pounds (about 4.1 million rubles) for jumping from the balcony and other drunken antics.
Scandalous tourists provoking dangerous situations will be evicted from hotels. If the administration does not expel violent guests, it will pay the same amount.
The document was signed by the FEHM Hotel Federation and sent to hotels in Magaluf and the nearby S'Arenal resort.
The hotel management must inform guests that it is forbidden to create situations that are dangerous to life, health and physical integrity. These include moving from one balcony to another and jumping into the pool from unintended places.
Vacationers who will commit such a thing will be immediately expelled from the hotel, resorting to the help of the police, if necessary.Guests will be asked to sign a contract upon check-in, specifying the date, entering passport details and room number. In addition, guests are strictly prohibited from bringing alcohol purchased in the city to the hotel.
Thus, the association of hoteliers hopes for better legal protection in case of complaints.
The opposition to "drunk tourism" began at the end of January. The authorities of Majorca supported and approved the new decree.
The legislative act will operate on the territory of Magaluf, S'Arenal and the western part of San Antonino in Ibiza, especially popular among British tourists. It prohibits processions in bars and "happy hours" with offers of alcohol.
The resolution was signed for a period of five years. It limits the amount of alcoholic beverages offered in restaurants and hotels on an all-inclusive basis. Guests will be able to get only three servings of alcohol for lunch and three for dinner.
Yacht party organizers are not allowed to pick up and drop off vacationers in areas where the new law is in effect. Shops in resort towns are prohibited from selling alcohol from 21.30 to 8.00.Hoteliers and local authorities hope that these strict measures will help to combat "drunken tourism" and make the situation in the resort towns of Majorca more calm.
The British love to take a walk and do everything to earn the title of the most drinking nation on the planet. This is especially noticeable during the holidays, when the streets of cities are filled with drunken party-goers buzzing until morning.
