British woman 'allergic' to electricity

Categories: Europe | Health and Medicine

Jackie Lindsey, 50, believes she is allergic to electricity: she wears a special protective suit and uses a device to measure the electromagnetic field outdoors. The woman refused all electrical appliances and turned off the electricity at home. Jackie lives as a recluse in the British county of Dorset, lights the rooms with candles, and cooks on gas. Food orders home - or bring relatives.

Her diagnosis is electromagnetic hypersensitivity. By the way, WHO believes that there is no evidence that the diagnosis is actually caused by electromagnetic fields, and is not the result of another neurotic condition. British doctors do not recognize the disease.

When Jackie goes outside, she dresses like a "moron beekeeper" in a suit made of silver-plated fabric that reflects magnetic fields. According to Jackie, someone's mobile or Wi-Fi is extremely dangerous for her. When in contact with electromagnetic fields, a woman experiences dizziness, shooting pains and numbness of her fingers.
