Being who you are: A guy from Scotland with a rare disease inspires others

British teenager Dylan Lombard (Dylan Lombard) suffers from a very rare disease. There are only 13 people like him in the whole world. He was diagnosed with mandibular hypoplasia, deafness and progeroid syndrome at the age of 10. His body cannot retain fat. The guy often hears unpleasant comments behind his back and notices sidelong glances, but no longer pays attention to them.

18-year-old Dylan from Glasgow wants to tell the world about his disease, which occurs only once in 600 million. Its signs are a small lower jaw, deafness and skin tightening. 

The Briton was born with a disease that was unnoticeable until the baby was one and a half years old. Then he started losing weight, and his mother became worried. Over the next ten years, she took her son to the doctors until, finally, the boy was able to make the correct diagnosis. 

There are only 13 people with this disease in the world. Because of his unusual appearance, Dylan is often noticed by others. Unfortunately, many people make caustic comments and ridicule him. Over time, the guy got used to this attitude and no longer pays attention to him. The Briton surrounded himself with friends and family who support him and love him as he is.

Dylan wants to inspire people to accept themselves as they are and do what brings joy. He urges you to be persistent and never give up. 

Because of his illness, the guy can't play sports, but he became interested in photography. He is inspired by the views of his native Glasgow. Dylan loves Scotland and is proud to live here.
