1. School years and early career

Beauty was born in April 1995. She spent her youth in Santa Barbara, California. Hardly having learned to walk, she already posed for the photographer. And this surprised no one, since her mother, Yolanda Hadid, was also a popular Dutch model. The beginning of her career in the field of fashion was put by the French fashion designer and co-founder of the famous American brand "Guess" - Paul Marciano.

2. After doing a great job on Guess the Baby, Guess the Kids, and Guess, Gigi decided to put her modeling career on hold. She gave preference to sports, namely horse riding and club volleyball. This act Hadid explained quite simply. She wanted to spend her childhood in the same way as all her peers: to study, train, and just be a child. Such ambitions led her to the post of captain of the volleyball team at the university.

In 2015, Gigi received an offer from cosmetic brand Maybelline to become the face of the campaign.

In an interview with fashion magazine Vogue, she shared her feelings about being rejected from her audition for the role of Angel. According to her, we can conclude that the girl is insecure, and this is what prevents her from succeeding. But after working on herself for a year, she was able to get the coveted role.

5. Health problems

In February 2018, Gigi caught a wave of hate on social media. Detractors poured insults on her because she became too thin. But she made an official statement, explaining that she was suffering from an autoimmune thyroid disease. It turned out that she was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease at the age of 17, but not everyone knew about it.
