When Richard Jenkins was still a child, he often raised his hand in class to answer what it called Harvard.

The family had to move to Tennessee, then to Florida, and then again in Philadelphia. When Jenkins was in sixth grade, he and his family lived in a shelter for the homeless. Then he realized that learning can be a way out of this plight.

Despite the martyrdom of his migraines, Jenkins began to study hard and show interest in the technology. In 11th grade he got into Girard College, a boarding school for gifted children. When it came time to apply for admission to the University, Jenkins sent in three universities in the ivy League. University of Pennsylvania put the guy in the waiting list, Yale and completely denied.

The University just took Jenkins, but also offered a full scholarship, that is, free tuition, accommodation and meals.

After the Jenkins family announced the happy news, his godfather Donald Kinsey launched a fundraiser on a crowdfunding platform to buy the guy a few things and tablet.
