For his work The Love Letter Building in 2001, Schult encouraged the public to share their love letters with him. He covered them with the former building of the Berlin post office. It was a reminder of the pre-e-mail era and a kind of monument to modern German romanticism. About 35 thousand letters were needed to cover the interior of the building, and 115 thousand to cover the outside of the house.
