Shakuntala's 60-year-old wife gave birth to her 96-year-old husband's son Vikramjeet, and two years later another Ranjeet. Unfortunately, he will not be able to see his grandchildren and great—grandchildren - Ramjit was killed by a pernicious addiction to smoking.
The Hindu died because he lit a cigarette in bed. The man fell asleep with a cigarette, which caused a fire in his house. Fortunately, except for the smoker himself, no one else was injured. Ramjit lived alone as his family broke up due to a tragic event.
In 2013, Shakuntala went to the hospital with her eldest son and fell asleep sitting on a bench. This was taken advantage of by the attackers who kidnapped three-year-old Vikramjit. No one else saw the child. Six months later , the woman left Ragava, taking her youngest son, as she was tormented by guilt.
Ramjit took the separation very hard and refused food for a long time. He told his relatives and neighbors that he wanted to die, because there was no meaning in his life anymore. But over time, the pain of loss became less acute and life went on as usual. On February 11, 2020, a neighbor of Raghav named Subodh heard cries for help and saw smoke over Ramjit's house. Running inside, he saw that his neighbor's clothes were on fire and rushed to extinguish it. Sabodh extinguished the flames with water and took the victim to the nearest hospital.
Doctors provided first aid to Ragav and arranged for his transportation to a specialized clinic. Unfortunately, the burns turned out to be too serious and the next day a 104-year-old man died. On February 13, 2020, the body of the record-holder father was cremated. So a bad habit killed a man who could not be broken even by ruthless time.
