1. Laura Clark - English architect, specializing in the re-equipment of residential houses, outbuildings, and new buildings. Laura also creates her own furniture and interior items in collaboration with other artists and designers. She has won several awards for her creative and innovative approach to design and architecture.
2. Laura first noticed abandoned toilets in 2005 when she moved to London. "I always liked the idea of micro-restoration," he explained. "For me, this is a saving of places with interesting stories that were abandoned and forgotten," she told The Telegraph. When Laura told her friends and family that she plans to turn used public toilets into an apartment with a bedroom, their reaction varied from laughter to horror and criticism, but she didn't force herself to do it.
3. Toilets were built in 1929 and were used for the last time in the 1980s. Unsurprisingly, it was necessary to carry out a lot of preliminary work, such as demolition and cleaning, in order to turn this abandoned place into a decent construction site.
4. At first, this place looked ugly and was littered with garbage. Together with the builders and workers, Laura began her long journey to the creation of the cozy home of her dreams.
5. "In the end, I did most of the work myself, because it was such terrible, hard work that I tried my best to keep people at work," said Laura.
6. Finally, after several months of hard work and $ 65,000 spent, the project was completed, and that was previously called an abandoned public toilet, turned into a stylish quadruple room.
7. The pearl of this architectural masterpiece is a bedroom of red-gold color with its own bed with a canopy and a full-size mirror. When you see all this beauty, it is difficult to present yourself with an unpretentious past construction!
8. According to the charming bedroom, in this modern house there is everything you need - a living room with bookshelves, which are spread across the apartment, a kitchen with all the necessary equipment, and even a small garden.
9. This charming bathroom with a golden - yet another example of how a boring and cluttered space can get a second life in the hands of a talented and inventive artist!
10. Who knew that the place, which was used before as a public toilet, can become a cozy home! It was determination, optimism, and perseverance that Laura made this incredible transformation possible.
11. Laura Clark gave a good example to people who have ambitious plans. Even if your goal seems unattainable, and your ideas are not supported by others, do not give up your plan. Continue to achieve your goal, work hard and, in the end, get a well-deserved award!
