Unfortunately, the older children did not live long with their mother in Virginia. In June 2016, they asked to return to their homeland, to the state of Kansas, to their father. Liz's heart was breaking, but she had to let them go. When the house was empty, the woman began to suffer from loneliness. She was constantly tormented by worries about the fate of her sons. To somehow calm down, in December 2016, an American woman decided to buy a realistic silicone baby doll. That's where it all started.

In five years, Liz's collection grew to nine dolls. Each of them has its own name. The age of pups varies from newborns to one-year-olds. Despite the fact that many of her hobby seems strange and, even, creepy, a resident of Virginia claims that it was silicone babies that helped her overcome the most difficult moments in her life. They remind the American woman of the time when her own children were toddlers.

Liz is part of a group of owners of the same realistic dolls in social networks. Everyone here understands and supports each other. Some buy dolls to cope with emotional trauma, others collect them as works of art.

However, most people find the American woman's infatuation very strange. So do some of her friends and family. But Liz claims that the dolls make her happy. She says that her husband is sympathetic to such an unusual hobby and supports her in every possible way.

Liz is fond of baby dolls, and other adult women are fond of Barbie dolls. Another American woman spent 70 thousand dollars to turn her apartment into a house of her favorite toy.
