Caddo Lake is a large lake in the United States, lying in eastern Texas, on the border with Louisiana. This is a protected area where the largest cypress forests on the planet grow. The lake area is about 106 square kilometers.

At the beginning of the nineteenth century, a congestion of river debris and logs appeared on the Red River. Beavers living on the banks of the river have reinforced this congestion with their dams.
