By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/alternative-to-barbecue-cook-over-a-fire.htmlAsk any person going out into nature, what will he cook? In most cases, the answer will be barbecue, with rare exceptions - sausages. In our time, shish kebab has become frighteningly without alternative. This cannot be tolerated and it is worth finding dishes that can serve as an alternative to kebab. This is exactly what blogger-taxi driver Igor Dolbik from Tyumen decided to do.
In search of an alternative, I tried to fry marbled beef steaks, replace pork with chicken, lamb, everything was wrong! Pork kebabs are such a popular dish that I kept having doubts in my mind about the appropriateness of other dishes while relaxing in nature. But since you have decided to experiment, then go to the end, no matter what foundations oppose you.
After some time, I came across a cast iron cauldron. I immediately remembered a time from my childhood when I cooked various dishes over a fire with my grandfather on the river bank. Oh, it was a wonderful time. I decided to cook some dishes in a cauldron; you can see what came out of it below.
The cauldron has a spherical bottom; it cannot be easily installed, so my father welded a structure from two disks from a truck. The central hole is ideal for installing a cauldron. First, let's light the fire. Cooking over a fire is great because you don’t have to wait for the coals to cook, you just put the cauldron on the fire and start cooking.
Today we will prepare lagman. We boiled the pasta (noodles) in advance, there’s nothing complicated here, any bachelor can handle it
