Age is not a hindrance: 52—year-old British bodybuilder conquers bikini contests

52-year-old British Karen Cobb from Rochester (Kent) likes to participate in bikini contests. If you thought that she just managed to get out of her mind by this age, you are mistaken: Karen has a perfectly developed body with embossed abs cubes, and every day at 5 in the morning she gets up for a run.

The inspiring example of this super—fit older woman is another confirmation that it's never too late to get the body of your dreams and flaunt a beautiful bikini on stage.

Thanks to the excellent physical form of 52-year-old Karen Cobb, a bikini looks much better on her than on many girls half her age. Moreover, because of her very youthful appearance, Karen is often mistaken for a friend or sister of her 27-year-old daughter.

The grandmother of 2-year-old Parker wants to inspire other women of her age to achieve their fitness goals and stay confident in a bikini. Other contestants affectionately call her "the godmother of girls in bikinis."

"Maybe I'm 52, but I'm not ready to hang my bikini in the closet yet. Every woman of age can achieve the same as me. All that is needed for this is dedication and confidence. Never compare yourself with anyone else and take selfies more often during training to see what you have achieved," says Karen.

Karen is married to 38-year-old Paul, and her youngest son, Louis, is 15. She admits that she has always loved healthy food and exercise, but in August 2014 she started training with a personal trainer and decided that it would be nice to try to participate in bikini contests.

"Initially, I wanted to take part in only one competition, but then I became addicted to the excitement and excitement that I experienced during competitions," Karen said.

Karen adheres to a strict diet during preparation for competitions: boiled chicken, fish, rice, sweet potatoes.

She has already taken part in 13 competitions and has no plans to stop in the near future, especially since her family likes to cheer for her.
