The northern Tigray region of Ethiopia is famous for its unique temples carved directly into the rocks. But Abuna Yemata stands out even among them. These wall paintings, as old as the temple, are perfectly preserved due to the dry climate. Of particular value is an ancient Bible written on goatskin. Its exact age is still unknown.

After a two-hour climb along a steep rocky path, the parishioners find themselves at the most dangerous part of the path. This place is a real test of a person's courage and faith. You need to walk along a narrow ledge over an abyss of more than 200 meters, and any mistake can cost the traveler his life.
