About the problems of Dubai: too many abandoned Ferraris have accumulated in parking lots
The United Arab Emirates is one of the richest countries in the world, but everything is not smooth there either. The problems, however, are very extravagant. Yes, so much so that other states would gladly take such a blow on themselves.
In the UAE, and especially in Dubai, the number of luxury cars that owners have left covered with dust in parking lots is constantly growing. More than three thousand abandoned ones are found in a year. The police take them out of sight to sell at auction for a song. But all this is like a battle with Hydra: you remove one dirty Ferrari, and two more appear in its place.

You probably thought that it was the greedy sheikhs who littered cars when they bought a new one. However, that's not the point. Almost all abandoned BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes and other expensive cars used to belong to foreigners — qualified specialists who came to Dubai to earn money.

Comfortably settled on the shores of the Persian Gulf, they gain loans to drive the same luxury cars and wear the same heavy watches as the subjects of the Emirates. But if their business fails or just finances begin to perform romances, then there is a real danger of getting a prison sentence over reckless emigrants.

In the UAE, as in many countries living under Sharia law, bankruptcy registration does not save from responsibility. In fact, this procedure is not provided for individuals at all. And non—payment of a loan is a criminal offense.

In order not to go to jail, unsuccessful foreigners hurriedly fly home and never return. That's why most cars are found in airport parking lots.

It's better to part with a Ferrari Enzo than to change a business suit for a prison uniform.
