A passerby called her a rhinoceros as she ran after the tram. 23-year-old Eva Varn weighed 116 kg after many years spent on a diet of Chinese food, fast food and sweets.
She could hardly find clothes to fit, and her BMI was 40, which is classified as serious obesity. But after a passerby called her an attacking rhinoceros, Eva finally found the motivation she lacked and dropped 46 kg.
"But this incident made me burn with shame. I realized that I had to change. I had very unhealthy habits: I ate too much fast food at night. Mom cooked healthy food, but I didn't feel full and stuffed Chinese noodles or chips into myself in the evenings.
The weight prevented me from working in kindergarten. I couldn't lift the babies in the nursery and suffocated while playing with the older children. But it was worth giving up fast food, and the weight began to fall."
Eva remembers that she was always bigger than her peers.
"At the age of 18, I weighed 95 kg, and over the next two years I gained almost 20 more. Friends never invited me to have fun with them, I felt superfluous and ate depression. It was a vicious circle.
I organized a party for my 21st birthday, but I couldn't find a dress that would fit me.
I couldn't look as stylish as the other girls. I had to be content with what could be found in the "plus size" departments.
I felt terrible and tried to be inconspicuous at my own birthday party." But it wasn't long after this terrible party, and Eva joined the Slimming world group.
