A seminar on... prostitution was held at the British Durham University

Interest in it is shown not only by those who find themselves on the sidelines of life, but also by quite promising young people. Students of one of the most prestigious British universities in Durham demanded that they be given prostitution classes. Young people wanted to know where to start and how to build such a business.
An unusual seminar on prostitution was requested by the student union of Durham University, in the north-east of England. The young people motivated their interest in a very unusual way. The students stated that many of them are mastering this profession, but do not have enough information about it. Therefore, it is desirable that professionals tell about all its nuances in detail.
The university administration met the desire of the students and organized such a lecture. She gathered a real full house and many listeners wanted to continue listening to this exciting and relevant course. But the classes on the theory of prostitution did not appeal to everyone. When the Ministry of Higher and Further Education found out about this, they criticized the Durham Rectorate.
Minister Michelle Donelan expressed her disapproval of such experiments. The high-ranking official recalled that Durham University is among the 24 most prestigious educational institutions in the world. At least for this reason, it is worth keeping a brand and refraining from introducing students to "ambiguous and dangerous" activities.
The university administration did not agree with this. On the contrary, they believe that such seminars will allow students to make an "informed choice" and make their activities "safe and effective". Because of this, a controversy arose between the Minister and the Durham administration. Ms. Donelan expressed concern that such an attitude to prostitution "normalizes corrupt love as such."
There were opponents of the lecture on introduction to the oldest profession and among students. This part of the university community has written a collective complaint to the Minister. In it, the advocates of morality reported that they do not want to witness how the sex industry enters the culture of the university.
The case in Durham soon became the property of the press. The article published in The Times gathered a lot of comments, both positive and negative. However, the legendary British puritanism made itself felt and most of all there were outraged posts. "So this means that the university has retrained into a brothel?" asks one of the readers of the publication.
In general, there is already a porn university, so why not create a small department of prostitution and pimping on the basis of Durham?
