A Mowgli girl has been discovered in the jungles of India

A completely naked little girl in a family of monkeys was discovered in the jungle in northern India. The baby was exhausted, her whole body was covered with scars and scratches. When the child was taken out of the jungle, he struggled, and the monkeys shouted their displeasure.

The baby is called a Mowgli girl because of the similarity of this story with Rudyard Kipling's "Jungle Book" about a boy raised by wolves.

A girl living among monkeys on the territory of the Katarniaghat Nature Reserve in Uttar Pradesh was discovered by woodcutters two months ago. The men tried to rescue the child from the wild, but were attacked by monkeys and left with nothing. After that, police officers came for the girl, who still managed to recapture her from the animals, although they chased the law enforcement officers' car for some time. Police officer Dinesh Tripathi told reporters that when he found the girl, "she was naked and felt very good in the company of monkeys."

After the rescue, the child was taken to a local hospital, where it turned out that the girl does not talk and behaves like an animal. She moved on all fours and ate exclusively with her mouth from the floor. She did not understand human speech, but used monkey-like screams to communicate.

According to the observations of doctors, two months in human society had a beneficial effect on the child. Currently, the Mowgli girl is still in the clinic, where she was taught to eat with her hands, use a mug and walk on two legs. Doctors note that outwardly she looks healthier, and although she still cannot speak, she understands what is being said to her and smiles in response.

When strangers appear, the girl is still scared and runs away, aggression often manifests itself in her behavior.

How the child got into the jungle is not yet known. The police are trying to establish the identity of the child by studying the photos of all the missing children in the district in order to identify the girl, but so far this work has not brought a positive result.
