Instead of the traditional capture of all the events on the day of the celebration, Liisa decided to take photos the way she saw what was happening, from her own face: starting with how she woke up in the morning and ending with how she went to bed on the wedding night.
Luisa and her husband live in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, where they have their own small photo agency. "When we decided to get married, we knew that we didn't need all this stress and all this excitement that is associated with the preparation of the celebration. We just wanted to legitimize our relationship and celebrate a little. Therefore, we tried to avoid all these terrible difficulties associated with the wedding planning process, and just went with the flow. And the logical decision in this case was that I decided to take photos on the holiday myself," Liiza said.
"I just felt that I wanted something different, unusual, different from all these stupid identical photos. With all due respect to wedding photographers, I just wanted something more authentic than what they usually have to offer. And what way to capture a wedding can be more realistic than me photographing the day of my celebration?"
