The Stirling family from Britain has been putting up the same Christmas tree for a century. No, this is not economy, but a real tribute to traditions!

This artificial tree was first installed in the house by grandfather Robert Muir in 1918 to celebrate the birth of his son. His relatives decided to keep the Christmas tree, and since then the family has been proudly taking it out every year, dressing it up and using it as the main Christmas decoration at home.

Below you can see photos of the very Christmas tree. Surprisingly, for so many years it has practically not changed!

In this photo you can see Aileen Stirling, the merchant's granddaughter Robert Muir. A woman stands near the very Christmas tree that her grandfather brought home a few days after the end of the First World War.

A special mechanism is installed inside the stand, when it starts, one of several Christmas melodies begins to play. Eileen says that she doesn't remember a single Christmas that passed without this music.

This photo was taken in 1976. On it, Eileen, pregnant with Joanne's daughter, is standing near the same Christmas tree. Previously, such artificial trees were very popular and stood in almost every house, but over time they got rid of unnecessary ... all except Stirlings.

The Stirlings treat the Christmas tree like a family member. To this day, this artificial tree decorates their house for Christmas and New Year. Eileen's daughter Joanne got married a long time ago and moved to Spain, but on the eve of the holidays, the girl always calls her mother and asks her to turn on one of the melodies on the Christmas tree.

Eileen remembers how, as a child, the whole family gathered together and danced around the Christmas tree. Chocolate was hung on a tree, and the one who was closest to the treat at the end of the melody could eat it. Funny family entertainment!

This year the Christmas tree celebrated its anniversary — it turned 100 years old! It's very nice that there are people who are so sensitive to traditions. Let's hope that the tree will decorate their house for at least the same number of years.
