With the development of high technologies will gradually disappear, the need for some specialties, which we now seem familiar and even indispensable. Such a process is not the first time: in the mid-nineteenth century the achievements of the industrial revolution left no chances to survive a number of professions and crafts, which in those days also seemed quite normal and natural.
We present you a selection of nine professions, gradually disappeared from the labour market, according to statistics from the Bureau of U.S. employment, which is already in 1850.

6. Working in quarries, "canneloni", extracted from soil and sand stone for use as construction material, for example, to create a kitchen table.
8. It's hard to imagine but several decades ago the simplest mathematical work is not a calculator, but ordinary women who manually do multiplication and division, replacing the familiar to us electronics.
9. Factory workers during the long working shift needed some entertainment. This function was performed by a guest lecturer, who was loudly read out the news and literary works, they say, "without interrupting production."
