But the director of the film found a way out, and in some scenes, Julia was replaced by professional dancer Shelly Michelle. What's more, in the movie poster, we actually only see Julia's head, the rest of her body belongs to her doppelgänger. By the way, in the poster, Richard Gere has brown hair, but in the film, he is already gray.
2. Do you remember the scene with the epilation of the chest of a 40-year-old virgin? Steve Carell had to experience this procedure for real. The director thought that the emotions at that moment must be real: he filmed the scene on the first take using five cameras at once to make sure everything worked as it should.
3. To show that one of the characters in The Hangover lost his tooth, the creators didn't have to use really complicated make-up techniques. For some reason, Ed Helms was missing one tooth, so in some scenes, he just had to have his implant removed.
4. How is it possible that Cards, Money, Two Smoking Barrels, Guy Ritchie's first film, made by a director no one knew then, managed to get world-famous singer Sting? The singer's wife, Trudy Styler, is the head of a production agency. One day Trudy saw a short film. She enjoyed it so much that she risked investing her own money in making the full movie and even managed to convince her husband to take part in the future film. So Sting appeared in a small but unforgettable role as a bar owner and the father of the protagonist. And this film made Guy Ritchie one of the most famous directors.
5. The director of The Shining, Stanley Kubrick, was famous for being a perfectionist. So instead of the 17 weeks, he planned to shoot the film, he ended up shooting 51 weeks. For example, the dialogue scene between Shelley Duvall and Jack Nicholson was filmed 127 times.
6. In one of his interviews, the chief designer of The Matrix, Simon Whiteley, revealed his inspiration for the famous green lines on the screens. It was simple: he used Japanese characters from his wife's cookbooks.
7. In one scene of The Hateful Eight, Kurt Russell's character breaks his guitar. The Martin Museum offered a rare guitar made in 1870 especially for this scene, and several copies were made. It was intended that the cue would be used in the scene and that Russell would not break the original. But something went wrong and the actor was not warned about the value of this guitar. So, during filming, he, according to the script, completely destroyed the guitar. As a result, the museum said they would no longer lend out guitars for filming any films.
8. In the intro to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, you can see Voldemort Nagini moving on the Warner Bros logo. pictures.
9. Artist Margaret Keane, in the film Big Eyes, was in one of the scenes. She depicted a woman sitting on a bench and reading a book behind the main character. You can see the photo where the actress Amy Adams and the artist are together.
