Spectacular good fairy tales were supplied by the countries of the socialist camp. And Czechoslovakia occupied a separate place in this list.
The 1973 film is based on the classic story, but with some loose additions to the script. A good instructive tale almost always appeared in the grid during school holidays.
In the same year, Goldilocks was also filmed - a story about a naughty cook who tasted magic fish and learned the language of animals and birds. The king, at whose court Irzhik served, sent a servant in search of Goldilocks, a beauty that he looked after for his wife. The animals and birds rescued by him help Irzhik in his search.
In 1979, the work of the storyteller Bozhena Nemtsova "About an umbrella, moonlight and a windmill" was filmed. The old king is away on business and entrusts the kingdom to his son, Prince Velen. Tom appears to the charming Evening Star, who helps arrange the fate of the prince's three sisters.
This film adaptation is also 1979, but already a whole series of 13 episodes. According to the plot, the main magician of the fairyland was tired of fulfilling the desires of others and wanted to marry Princess Arabella and rule the Land of Fairytales. To get rid of the oppression of Rumburak, the princess and her friends have to turn to the most unexpected characters for help. As a result, Arabella's efforts will be rewarded. And she will find her happiness with her lover from the real world.
This wonderful 1981 story is a film version of the Brothers Grimm's fairy tale about a ruler who was prophesied that his daughter would marry a poor coal miner. To prevent misalliance, he orders to find and kill the boy. But the child has a powerful protector - the Sun King.
A year later, a picture was released based on the classic story: the king asked his daughters how much they love him. The eldest replied that it was like gold, the middle one - like gems. And the younger father did not like the answer, because the girl compared love for her father with ordinary salt. The angry king expelled his daughter. And now she will have to disenchant her fiancé and remove the curse from her native country, where all the salt has turned into gold - shiny, valuable, but completely meaningless.
The picture of 1982 begins with despondency. After all, the king will have to give his adored daughter Viola for a winged monster (which is actually completely and not evil). The girl is in tears, her lover Marian is in shock. What will the dragon do in this situation?
A touching story about love and brotherly mutual assistance. The film was shot in 1986 and tells the story of Prince Jaromir, who went in search of his brothers, who were bewitched by the mysterious princess of the Diamond Rocks.
Have you watched these stories? Do you think the films will appeal to modern children?
