8 dangers lurking at home

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/8-dangers-lurking-at-home.htmlHome is a place where we feel absolutely safe. But is this really the case? Doctors recommend not to relax, because even in a modern city apartment, many dangerous factors await us. Some of them can simply spoil the mood and cause malaise, while others can seriously shake our health and even send us to a hospital bed.
In a residential room, the air always contains a certain percentage of moisture. This is inevitable — bathrooms and bathrooms, kitchens, flower pots, aquariums and, finally, people themselves, evaporating liquid through the surface of the body, become sources of humidity. It may seem to you that the air in the apartment is dry and that it needs to be humidified, but this will turn out to be a mistake and will only lead to dampness.
Usually it is customary to look into the ventilation ducts during repairs. But it is in these places that a serious source of danger lurks, in the form of kilograms of household and street dust. If you do not regularly clean the ventilation, then this system is not only useless, but also dangerous for the inhabitants of the apartment or house.
Bacteria, viruses, fungal spores, dust mites - all this is abundantly contained in the lumps of dust accumulated in the vent channels. Air conditioners are no less dangerous — the humid environment of indoor units is excellent for the reproduction of bacteria. Some of their species, for example, the infamous Legionella, can cause severe forms of pneumonia with a likely fatal outcome.
Some owners of cats and dogs allow their pets to bask on the bed and even sleep with them. This should not be done in any case. Firstly, even the cleanest pet will inevitably bring dirt on its paws to bed. And secondly, with your favorite dog or cat, wool and, possibly, parasites will get on the bed, about the presence of which you may not even suspect Murzik or Sharik.
Many people are sure that one wet cleaning per week is quite enough, but this is not the case. Dust is a strong allergen and the more it accumulates in your home, the more dangerous it is. Scientists have found that household dust consists of 35% of mineral particles, 12% of textile and paper fibers, 19% of skin cells, 7% of pollen, 3% of soot. Another 24% could not be identified despite all the achievements of science.
As we can see, the range of allergens in ordinary dust is quite large and there is an irritating component for everyone. Therefore, if you can not carry out a full wet cleaning of housing more than once a week, at least once every 2-3 days, wipe the dust off the furniture and collect it with a vacuum cleaner.
Bed linen can be fraught with danger, even if pets do not rest on it. Pathogenic bacteria, viruses and mold spores accumulate in the fabric of the bed. This is an ideal place for the life and reproduction of dust mites, whose waste products cause allergic reactions and inhibit the immune system. Bed linen should be changed at least once a week in the warmer months and at least twice a month in winter. A wet bed promotes the development of bacteria and mites, so it must be thoroughly dried.
Experts say that it is impossible to save on detergents. Dubious household chemicals from unknown manufacturers is a roulette, the bet in which your health may turn out to be. Components of cheap detergents can cause allergic reactions, skin diseases and even cancer. Especially dangerous are products produced in the form of sprays and sprayers. When spraying dangerous substances, it is easier to get on the mucous membranes and into the respiratory tract.
If your cleaning takes place without moving the furnishings, then there is very little sense from them. A huge amount of dust accumulates in the cracks between the furniture and the floor or walls, and besides, mold foci are often found. Many people experience a real shock by pushing a closet or sofa away from the wall.
The more things you have at home, the less healthy the atmosphere there is. Sofa cushions, figurines, old magazines, unnecessary clothes and shoes, old household appliances - all this accumulates dust and deprives your home of freshness and cleanliness. If you can't clean three times a week, then you should reconsider your "treasures" and get rid of at least those of them that you don't use regularly. Yes, so that you don't think that we are just thickening the colors, look at what household dust looks like under a microscope.
