1. Bed-lock
2. During the day it looks like a medieval castle, and closer to night it turns into a comfortable bed with one easy movement.
3. Piano bed
4. This bed, in which the piano is miraculously laid out, was made back in 1865 and is now one of the exhibits of the Brooklyn Museum. The owner of this ingenious piece of furniture had a large family, which was located on very limited square meters. Thanks to the piano bed in the room, on the one hand, it was not a shame to receive visitors, on the other - the household could comfortably settle down for the night.
5. Bed “Time Machine”
The idea of this bed (which, when folded, is a copy of the time machine from the Doctor Who series) belongs to a New Zealander who made it for his son. The bed not only looks amazing, it is equipped with a special backlight and a telephone.
6. A bed descending from the ceiling
7. This project was developed by the design firm BedUP for small rooms – when assembled, it does not take up more than a centimeter of usable area. If necessary, it descends from the ceiling (the mechanism resembles an elevator) and a four-square-meter bed is obtained. To do this, it is not even necessary to move the coffee table.
8. The bed behind the bookshelves
9. This project was designed by French designer Paul Kudami for a small apartment in Paris. The complexity of the task was that on 23 square meters it was necessary to arrange a bedroom, a full bathroom, a study and a dressing room.
10. Kudami brilliantly coped with the task, hiding the bed behind a bookshelf, which is a movable structure.
11. A bed in the form of vintage drawers
12. The two outermost drawers serve to store all sorts of little things, and the three middle ones turn into a full-fledged bed.
13. Bed-wall
14. Latvian designer Rolands Landsbergs came up with this incredibly compact piece of furniture, which has everything you need for life – a bed, a table, a wardrobe and even a sideboard.
15. This white “wall” consists of several modules, which, depending on the situation, can be transformed into one or another piece of furniture. The section with the bed is equipped with lamps at the headboard.
16. Folding dog bed
17. This piece of furniture was developed for dogs in the design firm Murphy's Paw Design. A dog bed, if necessary, turns into a compact bedside table in seconds.
