Geraldine has already visited Central Europe, Russia, Australia, and the USA.
The traveler declares: "I'm not going to stop yet. Now I want this way of life to continue at least forever. While many women of my age do not know where to put themselves and what to do with their free time, or traditionally devote their days to grandchildren, I consciously choose another path. I'm more interested in traveling the world with a backpack, laptop and camera.
Maybe I seem crazy to someone, but I'm divorced and retired. And I believe that we are all capable of many amazing adventures as soon as we realize that the only thing stopping us is ourselves."

Over the past 7 years, I have traveled to Asia, Central Europe, Russia, Australia and the USA, worked as a volunteer in the Philippines, Cambodia and Thailand.

I spend a few weeks every year with my precious children and grandchildren — sometimes in the summer and always at Christmas, but the rest of the time I travel. And visited more than 50 countries.
Over many years of work, I have saved a decent amount. However, it's not about money at all.

Pretty quickly, I discovered that traveling doesn't take that much money if you're willing to stay in hostels, take buses and trains, and eat the same as the locals.

So I'm not afraid that a gigolo who was attracted by my money will suddenly appear on my way.

I'm never lonely. Now I have friends all over the world. And I constantly communicate with my family via email and Skype.

My two eldest children live in Spain, and the youngest in the UK. And I am a happy grandmother of four grandchildren.
Kashmir, India.
The youngest son fully supports my nomadic lifestyle, but the other two think I'm a little out of my mind. I even suspect that the elder thinks that I should be more like a traditional grandmother.
No matter what, I hope that I will inspire my grandchildren to freedom and travel when they grow up. My advice to all people is not to pay attention to what your family says, do not sit and sour at home, the whole world is open to you.
