Redheads have always been somewhat mysterious and attracted people's attention. In the Middle Ages, they were considered witches or vampires, and sometimes society treated them cruelly. The MC1R gene is responsible for skin and hair color. When it is inactivated or blocked, the body begins to produce more melanin, which is responsible for more reddish tones. This "ginger gene" also affects freckles in redheads.

2. They can produce vitamin D.

Due to their pale skin, they can tan and absorb more sun. Thus, redheads can produce more vitamin D.

3. Red-haired men are healthier.

Redheaded men are less likely to get prostate cancer.

4. They are more likely to be attacked by bees.

Bees sting people with red hair more than others. They tend to attack redheads because this color can be perceived as threatening.
