'The old witch is dead' as demonstrators in Britain celebrate the death of Margaret Thatcher

As it turns out, not everyone in the British Isles is mourning the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. In various cities in the United Kingdom (London, Bristol, Liverpool and Glasgow), the Iron Lady was celebrated with "Ding dong, the witch is dead" banners and champagne.

Actions were held in several major cities in the UK, at which their participants expressed their joy in every possible way in connection with the death of the ex-prime minister, Baroness Margaret Thatcher. The actions were organized by opponents of the policy pursued by the "iron lady" during her premiership (1979 - 1990).

9. The Iron Lady is also known for her intransigence towards the Soviet Union. "We need 15 million Russians to work in the mines and oil fields, the rest are of no interest to us," she once said.
