For many, this is a kind of statement that explains who we are and what we believe in. Tattoo artist Sion Kwak from South Korea tells these stories about identity, faith, traditions, culture and values through elegant tattoos, in which she weaves traditional Korean motifs with the help of threads, knots and tassels.

To some, a tattoo may seem like a simple decoration, but for Zion it is a unique form of self-expression, a way to declare their creativity, values, hobbies and much more.

Zion said that she spends a lot of time studying the symbols and meanings of the elements that she includes in her work in order to convey the stories of her clients in tattoo design as accurately as possible.

The girl said that her style was inspired by a story she heard as a child — about the red threads that connect people, and how thanks to these threads they remain connected to each other despite all the difficulties and obstacles they face in life.

Therefore, she includes threads and knots in her works — they symbolize the connection between people, a person's life and all the events, significant and trivial, that happen to him in life.
