Categories: Design and Architecture
By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/25-best-city-horizons.htmlThe international real estate database Emporis has tried to organize urban horizons, taking into account the number and height of buildings in major cities around the world. As a result, a rating of the 100 most impressive cities was compiled.
When compiling the rating, Emporis experts took into account the number of completed skyscrapers (40 floors or more) and high-rise buildings (12-39 floors) and awarded each building a certain number of points depending on the number of floors. The higher the building, the higher the rating it received. So, for the number of floors from 12 to 19, one point was given, from 20 to 29 — 5 points, and so on. The highest score was earned by buildings with a height of 100 floors — 600 points. The calculation did not take into account television towers, masts, bridges and other structures.
Moscow, having scored 14,079 points for 4,391 buildings, was in 11th place; Kiev received 3,942 points and took the 37th line of the rating; St. Petersburg with 3,645 points was in 43rd place. Of the 100 cities included in the rating, 51 are in Asia, 21 are in North America, 15 are in South America, 9 are in Europe, 4 are in Australia. Below are the 25 best urban landscapes.
