There are many hidden places in the world where you can safely hide something. But if you decide to hide something very good, for example, a collectible gin, then you need to be especially vigilant. One Swiss alcohol producer decided to infuse 230 liters of juniper vodka for 100 days. To do this, he poured the drink into a steel ball and lowered it to the bottom of Lake Constance. As you may have guessed, the alcohol changed its owner before it had time to brew.

The gin was placed in a stainless steel ball weighing 800 kg. For reliability, the container was attached to a concrete block and lowered to the bottom of the lake. Lake Constance, located on the border of Switzerland, Germany and Austria, was chosen as the storage location. By the way, it is one of the ten most beautiful lakes in Europe. It would seem that in such a civilized and tourist-filled place, gin is in no danger. But the unexpected happened.

After 100 days, employees of the alcohol factory arrived at the capsule storage site on a special vessel to extract it. To their surprise, they found only an orphaned concrete block at the bottom of the lake. The shiny ball filled with a fragrant drink disappeared without a trace. The bottom was carefully examined by divers, after which it became obvious that a crime had occurred.

The water police carefully examined the crime scene, as well as recordings from surveillance cameras installed on the shore and cruising on Lake Constance. But all in vain — the sphere, heavy and shining like a samovar, seemed to have dissolved into water.

This story is even more unpleasant due to the fact that all 395 bottles of gin, which were supposed to be filled from a steel ball, were sold in advance. Therefore, the company will have to explain to respected customers why they will not be able to receive prepaid orders on time.
