By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/20-ways-to-keep-your-child-busy.htmlTo save the house from the destruction of children with their irrepressible energy, it is simply necessary to entertain them all the time with something. We offer several simple and affordable ways to occupy a child when during quarantine (or in other conditions) there is no possibility to walk.
Turn an ordinary fan into a rainbow fan
Allow the child to paint the blades in different colors, and then just let them dry. Delight is guaranteed!
Make edible plasticine
You will need:
Beat the butter and cream with a mixer. Then gradually add powdered sugar to the mass, mix. The mass should become thick and dense enough for modeling. At the end, add the vanilla extract (optional). Knead the dough on a surface sprinkled with powdered sugar. Divide it into several parts, drop a drop of food coloring into each and mix well again (if you do not want to use dyes, you can leave a mass of white color). Now you can start modeling — roll out with a rolling pin, cut out figures or form them with your fingers, they are simply fastened together. And most importantly-all this can then be eaten.
Hang a swing at home
You can hang a swing not only on the street, but also at home. And believe me, your baby can swing in them all day.
Prepare a soft mass that glows in the dark
You will need:
Crush 2 vitamins into a powder (if your vitamins are in capsules, just pour out the contents). Add 2 cups of flour, 4 teaspoons of tartar, 2/3 cup of salt and mix well. Then add 2 cups of warm water and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Mix well so that there are no lumps. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and cook over medium heat until the mass becomes like plasticine and stops sticking to the pan and hands. Let it cool down and proceed. Turn off the light and turn on the lamp. Plasticine will glow in the dark!
Make your own snow
Make the snow yourself! You can make lumps or just play with a fluffy "snowball". All you need is to mix corn starch with shaving foam. You can add a little dye, and then the "snow" will become colored.
Ask your child to make faces out of small objects
Collect buttons, beads, caps — in general, everything that you consider suitable, and ask the child to make different faces out of them. Besides the fact that you will occupy it for a while, it will be a great way to develop fine motor skills and imagination of the child.
Prepare unusual paints for drawings
Mix hair gel, food coloring, glitter and confetti. Such paints are unusually laid on paper and allow you to create simply magical drawings.
Make chocolate bowls for sweets or ice cream
Just melt the chocolate, and then dip the inflated balloons into it. Then let the chocolate dry and gently pop the balls.
Make a maze of cardboard boxes
Cut the boxes and glue their walls together, cut out the arches — and fun for the whole day is provided.
From a cardboard box, you can make something else interesting
You can make a whole city with your child: draw roads, arrange cars and little people. And then the kid will turn it into an exciting game by himself.
Make your own model of the Solar System
You will need: round plywood, newspapers, toilet paper, glue and paints. From newspapers and paper, you need to form balls, and then dry and color them. Then paint the plywood and fix the "planets" on it, and your own Universe is ready.
Build a castle with your own hands
Casings from paper towels, juice boxes and a little cardboard — that's all you need for a real lock.
Paint the Christmas balls
And although the New Year is far away ... with the help of acrylic paints, your child can turn solid Christmas tree balls into an exclusive work of art.
Put the soap in the microwave and give your child a soap cloud.
Create an underwater world
Cut out silhouettes of marine animals from black paper: fish, squid, crabs, as well as stones, algae, etc. Cover a sheet of white paper with watercolors of "sea" colors. It is important to create a fairly wet coating that will not dry out right away. And now the secret technique! Give the child a pre-prepared pipette with alcohol and ask him to apply a few drops all over the canvas. The alcohol will dissolve the paint, and glowing circles will appear on the paper. Wait until the paint dries completely, and glue the cut-out silhouettes to the background.
Draw leaves like real artists
Collect beautiful leaves in the park, clean them from dust and dirt, iron them with an iron so that they straighten out. Put the leaves between the sheets of paper, take soft pencils or pastel crayons and start the magic: just paint over the sheet with solid strokes, and a sheet with all its large and small veins will appear on the white paper.
Surprise your child with homemade "classics"
Draw a field for "classics" or any other game using ordinary duct tape. Now you can play not only in the summer.
Draw with the help of hand and foot prints
With the help of palm prints and even feet, you can make charming drawings. For example, a mermaid mother walks with her daughter on the ocean. Or owls are resting on a branch.
Make an umbrella that only you will have
The umbrella is completely black on the outside, but if you open it, you will find yourself among a galaxy full of twinkling stars. Making such an umbrella is not so difficult — all you need is paint and a little inspiration.
Play the real "Star Wars"
Arrange a "Star Wars"! No one will get hurt, because the swords are made of balloons. For illumination, you will need LED flashlights, and for the handle — a roll of toilet paper.
