Together with his partner John Thomas (John Thomas) Supposedly during the First world war traveled to many military bases across the United States. Arriving each time at a new place, he settled the camera on the top of the 24-meter tower, oversaw the creation of the colossal songs from a thousand officers, soldiers, reservists, and nurses.
In the troubled times of the First world war, these monumental images were intended to demonstrate to the masses the feelings of unwavering national unity.
Planning and shooting each photo took at least a week. Supposedly watched the outlines of each song through the lens of the camera and using a megaphone and hand signals were sent helpers at the bottom. Several hours were required for the resolution of the wrangling of thousands of participants. And only after that could be pushed down.
