Photographer Beth Galton (Galton Beth) and food stylist Charlotte Omnes (Charlotte Omnès) have decided to take a critical look at the foods we eat every day.

When choosing objects for shooting, they realized that photographing products in pairs are usually much more efficient and visually more attractive. "Shown together, they create more symbolic images," — says Galton.

1. Of course, other photographers have already cut the product in half, however this practice is still quite unusual. The creation of such images is technically difficult and time consuming, but worth it.

2. There is no single approach to the process of cutting and shooting. "Each object had its own problems, which Charlotte and I were trying to solve," says Galton.

3. Cut in half some products was pretty easy, for others it took a variety of tricks, from adding gelatin to the soup in this picture to use photoshop.
