When choosing objects for shooting, they realized that photographing products in pairs is usually much more effective and visually attractive.
Of course, other photographers have already cut the products in half, but this practice is still quite unusual. Creating such images is technically difficult and time-consuming, but it's worth it.
There is no single approach to the process of cutting and shooting.
It was quite easy to cut some products in half, while others required various tricks-from adding gelatin to the soup in this frame to using photoshop.
Two digital retouchers were involved in the creation of the works.
Here the retoucher had to redo the bottom of the container with chicken.
This coffee shot is one of Beth Galton's favorites.
Another favorite is the image of cereal with milk. It took several attempts to create it.
This picture was one of the most difficult for the authors. At first, they tried to cut the chicken in the frozen state with a hacksaw, but in the end they used a band saw.
To preserve the visual appeal, the authors were very careful in choosing products and refused to cut the cake.
Omnes and Galton chose only those products that they both liked outwardly.
When Beth Galton was asked if they had ever eaten what was left after their experiments, she replied:"Never!"
After the completion of this project, Galton and Omnes decided to take a little break, dealing with other ideas.
