10 horror stories about malnutrition

By Pictolic https://pictolic.com/article/10-horror-stories-about-malnutrition.htmlThe May holidays this year are such a time when at first we eat practically only shish kebabs, and then - Easter cakes and eggs. And, oddly enough, for some, one does not exclude the other at all. But holidays are holidays, and there are people in the world who make the most ridiculous diets their usual way of eating. Below are ten examples of people who have taken food to the next level, so to speak.

1. Red Bull
Diet: Almost nothing but Red Bull for a few months. A New Zealand woman gained weight after her pregnancy and really wanted to lose a few pounds quickly, so she did what no sane person would do, namely, she began to consume exclusively Red Bull. She drank it mainly as an appetite suppressant, but of course it also gave her energy without the need for food. Despite the fact that such a diet was not very successful and created health problems, including a stroke, she still managed to lose a lot of weight very quickly. Apparently, she really didn't want to consciously go on a diet, it happens.
2. Carrot
Diet: only carrots and carrot juice. The girl wanted to win an argument with her roommates: she believed that eating a lot of carrots could make you tan (that is, become orange), and her roommates did not agree with her. She wanted to prove to her neighbors that you don't have to get a fake tan to look like an Oompa Loompa, but you can just eat a lot of carrots. So she started a diet of carrots and carrot juice. This diet is very dangerous. Although orange skin itself is not considered harmful and will eventually pass, you will be severely restricted in nutrients, which will quickly throw the body out of balance.
3. Beer
Diet: Nothing but beer and water during Lent. An Jovan decided to try something completely new during the fast. His plan was to only drink beer and water during the entire period. A man brews his own beer at home and is fascinated by a group of Bavarian monks who call the beer "liquid bread". The monks themselves are unlikely to drink beer during the fast, but Jovan claims that he tried to find out the historical aspects of this issue. Most likely, he just found a very good reason to drink in the post. No doubt he spent most of it in a semi-comatose state.
4. Cola
Diet: ten liters of cola per day. After the autopsy, the coroner in New Zealand announced that the woman's death was mainly due to the fact that she drank about 10 liters of cola per day. Her friends claimed that she also smoked a couple packs of cigarettes a day and hardly ate anything. The Coca-Cola Company, of course, denies that their product had anything to do with this case in an attempt to avoid legal action. But common sense suggests that they can hardly be blamed - the real culprit here is the lack of self-control, as well as control from the family, which did not intervene in time and did not provide the woman with the necessary assistance.
5. Twinkie - a cake with a filling.
Diet: Twinkies. The man wanted to prove that there are no really good or bad calories, at least when it comes to weight loss. So he devised a perfectly sane plan to get to the bottom of this issue. He ate nothing but Twinky and the occasional Doritos, Oreos, and cereal bars. However, he continued to maintain a low calorie intake. It turned out that his theory was confirmed, he really lost weight. Unfortunately for him, just because you're losing weight by eating nothing but junk food doesn't mean it's good for you. The key takeaway here should be that if you want to lose weight, you need to eat fewer carbs and move more, and not eat a little cake.
6. Chocolate
Diet: Almost nothing but chocolate. A British girl eats almost nothing but chocolate. Her parents try to justify this by saying that she simply suffers from "food phobia". Even though she is currently in good health, it seems very unlikely that her good health will remain unchanged if the habit of eating almost only chocolate is going to be long-term. Her parents say she "eats 15 squares of culinary chocolate and 10 chocolate fingers every morning." She seems to eat the same thing for lunch, occasionally adding rice crispies, but only if they're completely covered in melted chocolate. Her only "exception" from the diet is Wotsits cheese chips.
7. Chicken nuggets
Diet: Almost nothing but chicken nuggets for 15 years. Stacey from the UK was hospitalized after she became ill at work. It turned out that she had breathing problems, anemia and other problems, most likely related to the diet. The fact is that as a child she tried chicken nuggets and has since refused to eat anything else. Her mother made several half-hearted attempts to get her daughter to eat normally, but quickly gave up. As a result, in her entire life, her already adult daughter hardly ate anything other than nuggets. Despite the doctors' claims that if she is going to stick to this diet, she will die young, Stacey does not want to give up the diet. She just doesn't feel like she can eat anything else.
8. Strict vegetarianism
Diet: Vegetarianism for an infant. A couple of Queens parents nearly killed their child by negligence. The "indiscretion" was that they refused to breastfeed him or give him any milk or dairy products. In fact, all they allowed the child to eat was fruits, vegetables, and legumes. In other words, they already turned their baby into veganism from birth, considering it a religion. Both parents were sentenced to five to twenty-five years in prison because the judge felt they needed to understand that the child was too young for a vegetarian diet and needed better nutrition.
9 Human Fat
Diet: meatballs fried in their own fat, pumped out during liposuction. The artist, known for his shocking creative projects, recently underwent liposuction surgery. As part of an art project, he used his own fat to fry burgers and served them to his friends. He considered this trick of masterpieces, and not at all cannibalism. But this is not the first comical attempt by the artist to attract attention. He also painted an iceberg with red paint and suggested that people press the blender button when there was a live fish. Here we can hardly help with advice, but we feel that he will feel better in a room with four soft walls.
10. Colleagues
Diet: Eating each other on TV. Two Dutch TV show hosts struggled to come up with something that would get people to pay attention, and after a lot of searching, they decided the best way would be to eat each other. They surgically cut off parts of their buttocks and abdomen. After that, the chef cooked their meat and served it complete with a side dish. Although many people claim that it was a prank, the hosts insist that everything that happened was quite real, and even show people the scars to prove it. However, this is not at all surprising for these two. Previously, another program on the same channel had caused controversy, where sick people competed to win life-saving organs.
