The author of the first photo was the French scientist Joseph Nicephore Niepce. He took a picture at his family's house and called it "The view from the window in Le Gras."

The first X-ray, 1895

Arthur Wynn was supposed to come up with entertainment for an eight-page comic book section in the New York World edition.
