Your children should know this: Three rules of fire survival
Getting into an emergency situation, people panic, losing precious minutes that can save lives. And it is important to overcome fear, take a breath and exhale and look for a way out of the situation at any cost. Many people were once annoyed by the lessons on OBZH, which taught not only to put on gas masks, but also to behave correctly in dangerous situations. Understanding the importance of such lessons comes only with time, and in modern schools, such classes are no longer taken seriously, alas.
The Center for Child Safety Counseling "Stop Threat" after the fire in Kemerovo published an entry that is important for all parents to read. These tips can save lives.
The head of the center for child safety counseling "Stop Threat" Liya Sharova after the fire in Kemerovo told what every child needs to be taught.
What to do?
1. The described scarf.
This is how we usually tell the first rule of leaving a burning or smoke-filled room to the laughter of children. Because it's true: we carry water with us infrequently, children almost never. And it is from smoke that they die. Therefore, we take any clothes: a scarf, a T-shirt, a shirt, a blouse, a skirt hem. Pissing. And we breathe through the described fabric. Urine filters both smoke and toxic substances much better than water.
The children laugh, but everyone agrees that it's not a shame to do it in a dangerous situation. But this mood of "not ashamed" can be created only in dialogue and better — between children. In every class or group there will always be those who will convincingly say: "What's funny? If it saves a life."
2. Teach children to play "Find a way out".
And myself, too. We never think about how to leave the room in case of a fire. Never. And this can be quickly and cheerfully made a habit. And by teaching the child, you will begin to pay attention to it yourself. Therefore, within 2-3 weeks, coming to any room, we have fun and instantly look where we would run in case of a fire. You can check with the staff.
3. Exit from the panicked crowd.
There are three rules here:
— We go only in the direction of movement, without stopping, even if relatives are left behind. You will meet after you go outside.
— Carefully bend around corners, pillars, any oncoming obstacles. To do this, we look at what's ahead from afar. We walk with our arms crossed on our chest, elbows slightly forward and holding our shoulders with our hands. So, if you are squeezed, you will be able to breathe freely.
— If you fell: no "group up"! You have three seconds to get up at any cost. To do this, we cling with a death grip to the nearest legs, jeans, coats and, like monkeys, climb over a person. Remember that the tree-man will not be happy for us. And maybe even hit on the head. But you will have time to get up. Practice at home.
And may you never need this information!
