Several more cult Soviet films were shot here, which I personally remember from childhood and even sometimes review in order to laugh and cry."

I had an hour and a half to walk around Baku. After walking a little through the old town and not finding familiar places, I was about to leave when I saw a colorful character — a shaggy uncle in a stretched sweater was smoking in one of the doorways.
— Good morning! Let me take a picture of you!..
— But why me? Let me take a picture of you.
Word for word, exchange of pleasantries…
— Were you at the filming location of "damn it"?
— Nah, I haven't reached it yet.
— KA-A-A-AK??? And where the "Amphibian Man" was filmed, do you also know? So come on, I'll show you everything!

Amphibian Man (1961) starring Vladimir Korenev.
Ichthyander, as if for the first time, goes out into the city, descending from the castle by the stairs (by clicking the transition to the movie).
The same staircase where, a flight below, he almost hugs the first girl he comes across, who from afar resembles Gutierrez.
The fountain in the film is a fiction. He has never actually stood here, there is an ordinary square in this place. Pay attention to the building in the background (click on the photo to go to the moment in the movie).
A lot has changed since 1961, but the overall look is the same.
But the building where Father Gutierrez's shop was was thoroughly redone. The house was plastered, and the entrances were sealed.
And the balcony on the next house was replaced… By the way, the scene "Don't be afraid, I'm with you" was filmed here — when Durov's hero buys flowers and asks to wrap them in a poster with "wanted".
Somewhere here in the wall was Balthazar's shop.
"Tehran-43" (1980)
In fact, there are many places, but some streets have changed so much in 36 years that they are not recognizable at all. I'll show you just a couple of famous shots.
Mustafa's photo studio, where a revolver was "entered" into the correspondent's movie camera.
The corner of the building hasn't changed at all, you'll find out the rest and, if you don't know, you'll pass by.
Where the correspondents were searched, there was an open square and a bazaar.
A little did not reach, but quite recognizable arches with sealed openings.

Our favorite episode is "tsigel-tsigel-ailulu".

I really liked this moment, with a shy "citizen".
Sidewalks were removed, trees were cut down, paving stones were laid, walls were erected in some places and Mercedes cars were launched…
A combination of this and that. I'm not Lovygin, so everything is rude and without artistry…

I think the proportions of 24-70 for a foreign movie camera are wrong, we need to go back and reshoot. They somehow got it all by accident.
The cave in which the brulants were "wrapped on plaster" was actually filmed in another place. Here is an ordinary courtyard in which ordinary people live…
