Vintage aliens and dinosaurs in the new crazy Gucci ad
Fashion house Gucci has shot an unusual advertising campaign to promote the new autumn-winter collection: its main characters are dinosaurs, robots, gorillas and humanoids, and the time of action is the middle of the last century. The photos and videos were taken by Glen Lachford, and the creative director was Alessandro Michele.

The video was captioned with the words: "Alien. Age: Unknown. Place of origin: Unknown. Who does he obey? You know, you can't just find out."
Then a video was released about the casting for the campaign, after which a student of the British University Central Saint Martins accused Alessandro Michele of plagiarism. He said that the characters of the video were copied from his drawings, but the creative director of the fashion house called it a coincidence.
In July, the brand showed a finished shoot stylized as science fiction films of the 1950s and 1960s.
The advertising campaign is inspired by films such as The Creature from the Black Lagoon in 1954 and The Forbidden Planet in 1956.
The characters act in a variety of scenery — from a spaceship to an alien desert.
In one shot, they even fight a dinosaur.
In addition to photographing, Lachford shot a video where the characters shoot from the cannons of spaceships and wander around distant planets.
