Too handsome Russian MP offended by the meme and wrote a statement to the police
Russian Deputy Pavel Valenchuk complained to the police about the administrators of the public "Borsch" in the social network "VKontakte" for a meme published by them earlier. Several photos of the politician appeared on the community wall with an offer to sign up for him "on the eyebrows and nails".
On July 10, a publication appeared on the wall of the popular Borsch community, which, according to Pavel Valenchuk, "offends his honor and dignity." The meme looks like this:
In the comments, serious battles broke out on the topic of the politician's appearance. Some users came to his defense, saying that he himself has the right to decide what he looks like. But most commentators were still angry at Pavel, calling him too handsome, and even questioned his orientation.
The 23-year-old deputy of the Kirov City Duma was named "Russian Ken", compared to the unsuccessfully created Sims character and called "some kind of plastic". In general, they said a lot more offensive, obscene and surprising even for Pavel himself:
As a result, the deputy had to complain to the police about the administration of the public, and at the same time one of the Instagram users for a photo in which his appearance was ridiculed.
Now a lawyer is dealing with issues of protecting his honor, but judging by the reaction of Mikhail Fedotov, chairman of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights (HRC), Valenchuk should not count on a positive outcome.
Fedotov believes that this post "does not contain any signs of an offense" and "there is nothing in the meme but a slight grin."
Well, let's hope the police will be able to properly qualify this case and make a fair decision on this matter.
And what do you think, the post about "eyebrows and nails" is an insult to the deputy?
