Then and now: have the cities of Europe changed much in a hundred years?
A hundred years ago, in the 1920s, the German photographer Kurt Hilscher actively traveled around Europe, releasing several albums with beautiful views of cities and countries. In the early 2010s, Kasper Molenaar, a Dutch student studying the history of Eastern Europe at the University of Amsterdam, found these books and visited the same places that are depicted in Hilscher's photographs. by comparing the photos, we will see how much Europe has changed over the century.
Kasper Molenaar took Kurt Hilscher's photo from the same angles 100 years later for several years.
